PressProgress Is Hiring a Labour Reporter
We're looking for a talented labour journalist to join our investigative team
PressProgress has an exciting year ahead as we look to add a Labour Reporter to our team of full-time, unionized journalists to continue delivering impactful and investigative news from coast to coast.
As corporate media continues to prioritize business-focused coverage, strong and robust labour reporting is more critical than ever to ensure workers’ stories and their struggles are fully and accurately told.
We’re looking for a motivated, energetic, and collaborative journalist who is passionate about holding the powerful accountable. The ideal candidate is eager to dive into corporate records and report on a wide range of services and industries in the Canadian public and private sectors, who can navigate evidence-based information and transform it into explanatory journalism, who has a keen eye for tracking active strikes and lockouts, and who works to cultivate a range of diverse sources from the community, government, and academia. Additional skills in multimedia reporting, and a strong understanding of diverse labour sectors across the country is a significant asset.
Take a look at the job posting for more information, and if you have any questions get in touch with the Publisher, Romy Garrido at info[at]pressprogress.ca. Closing date January 31, 2025.
