Introducing the 2025 Candidate Story Map

Find out more about the candidates in your riding with stories from our archives

As this election heads into its final weeks, much has been said about the major political party leaders. It can be much harder to find information about the MP candidates in individual ridings across the country.

However, it turns out many of them have previously worked in or around politics and have been reported on or mentioned in stories by PressProgress. So, to bring our readers additional context about political candidates where they live, our Ontario Reporter Eric Wickham built a Candidate Story Map. To gather this information, he went through the PressProgress archives and compiled articles from the past decade mentioning candidates running in the 2025 Federal Election.

We currently have news stories for 71 out of 343 federal ridings. This will continue to grow as we get closer to Election Day.

If there is a news story from another news outlet that you think should be included in this map, submit a link to us with the Google Form on the candidate map page.
